About Shanell Petersen-Reffell
Shanell "Nella" Petersen-Reffell has been practicing yoga for over 13 years and teaching for 5 years. She once dedicated her life to studying the art of a beginner’s mind which often shows up in her teaching style to all levels. She is the owner of Nella Yoga University and Nella Yoga now located in the U.S. Virgin Islands offering yoga retreats and teacher training workshops abroad. A student of many styles, she most draws from her learning from the lineage of B.K.S. Iyengar, Robert Boustany, and Larry Thraen. Shanell is an experienced registered yoga instructor (E-RYT) with the Yoga Alliance, a registered continued education provider (YACEP), and a certified trauma sensitive instructor. As an holistic nutritional counselor, author of The Best Sugar-Free Vegan Cookbook Ever, and Reiki practitioner, she continues to help many people heal their mind, body and spirit.
